DCS 2 Way Radio Supports Southport’s Mad Dog 10k Run 2019

DCS 2 Way Radio is pleased to be providing two way radio communication for the third year running for the Mad Dog 10k Charity Run, named the best 10k in the whole UK by official running organisations, 

With over 3,000 runners taking part, The Mad Dog 10K is now in its ninth year and has raised over £77,000 for local charities and good causes to date.

The event is organised by Southport Hesketh Round Table, and takes place along the Southport coastline in Merseyside, with lots of live entertainment along the route for both runners and visitors.

Fast, efficient communication is vital to the smooth running of this annual event and also to facilitate health and safety requirements. DCS 2 Way Radio has set up a bespoke radio communication system, with infrastructure to ensure good radio coverage throughout the course route. 

The organisers have hired 20 Motorola DP4400e hand portable radios with audio accessories, which is part of a bespoke system tailored to suit their particular needs and will provide saturated coverage throughout the route.

The Mad Dog 10k Run takes place on Sunday 3rd February, and supporters are welcome to go along to cheer the runners and enjoy the incredible atmosphere at this fun event.
